Tourism Information
The Consulate General is not specialized in tourism, and its travel brochure and map inventory is very modest.
The best resource for everything travel-related is the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO). Their website offers a wealth of information on all that there is to see and do in Japan, practical information on planning a trip, suggested itineraries, PDF maps and brochures, useful links, and much more.
Cultural Information
There are many government-operated or -approved websites offering information on various aspects of Japanese culture. You will find some on our Japan Info page.
Japanese Language Learning
The Consulate General does not offer Japanese language classes, but some of the schools in our jurisdiction that do are listed on our Local Japanese Community page. The Japan Foundation, Toronto, also offers a wide range of online tools and resources geared towards Japanese language learners.
For information on the Japanese Language Proficiency Test, or JLPT, visit its website.
