Meeting with the Japanese Scientific Community in Quebec (September 15, 2026)
On September 15, the official residence welcomed members of the Montreal Academic Club, which brings together Japanese researchers working in Quebec, as well as representatives of Japanese research and development organizations with offices in Washington, including the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS, online), the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO), the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), and the Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED).
An information session and exchanges on research support were held on this occasion. The various research and development organizations presented their research support programs. Participants then discussed recent research trends in Quebec, as well as the current situation at universities abroad, providing an opportunity to connect and share insights with one another.
