Presentation of the Consul General of Japan Award to Dr. Laura Vigo (June 19, 2026)

On June 19, Consul General Uchikawa presented the Consul General of Japan’s Award to Dr. Laura Vigo, Curator of Asian Art and Archaeology at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
Since 2008, Ms. Vigo has served as curator and has contributed to the promotion of Japanese art and culture in the region through the conception and implementation of permanent and temporary exhibitions devoted to Japanese art at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, as well as the conservation of artworks with the collaboration of Japanese institutions, and through lectures and scholarly publications.
The Consulate General pays tribute to her outstanding achievements and extends its heartfelt congratulations.
