New Year’s Greeting Reception with the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Montreal (February 27, 2026)
On February 27, Consul General Uchikawa hosted the annual New Year’s greeting reception with the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Montreal and other organizations. This year, with the aim of deepening exchanges among various actors involved in Japan-Quebec economic relations, a new initiative was introduced. In addition to the Chamber’s member companies, other Japanese firms operating in the region were invited, as well as Investissement Québec and representatives of the Quebec-Japan Business Forum .
Ms. Joanie Leroux-Côté, who is scheduled to assume her post shortly as Economic Attaché at the Quebec General Delegation to Tokyo, also attended the reception, providing local Japanese companies with an opportunity to engage with her.
Our Consulate General will continue to support Japanese companies while further strengthening economic relations between Japan and Quebec.
