International Tourism & Travel Show (November 7 to 9, 2025)
The International Tourism & Travel Show took place in Montreal from November 7 to 9. Once again this year, a large Japan booth, bigger than last year’s, was held under the coordination of the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) Toronto Office (Visit Japan from Canada). Various local governments from Japan as well as tourism-related companies also participated. The Consulate General, which joined as a co-exhibitor, introduced various aspects of Japanese culture, the Working Holiday Visa Program, the MEXT Scholarship Program, and the JET Programme. We also offered hands-on Japanese cultural activities such as origami and writing visitors’ names in Japanese, which garnered considerable interest from more than 300 attendees. Each day, the booth welcomed a steady stream of visitors seeking information about tourism in Japan. The event confirmed that Japan remains a highly popular travel destination, with growing interest in regions beyond the major tourist hubs.
