Japanese Foreign Minister’s Commendation (October 19, 2025)
On October 19, during its Annual General Meeting , the Montreal Association of Chado Urasenke Tankokai was honored with the Japanese Foreign Minister’s Commendation for the 2025 fiscal year. Since its founding in 1981, the Association has dedicated over 40 years to promoting, sharing, and fostering understanding of traditional Japanese culture through tea ceremony, while training the next generation of local practitioners. In recognition of its sustained efforts to deepen mutual understanding and strengthen friendship between Japan and Canada, it was thus awarded t he Japanese Foreign Minister’s Commendation for 2025. We extend our heartfelt respect for the activities and achievements of the Montreal Association of Chado Urasenke Tankokai, along with our warmest congratulations.
