YATAI MTL (June 13 to 16, 2022)
The Japanese street food festival YATAI MTL took place from June 13 to 16, with Consul General Uchikawa attending the opening ceremony. Congratulations to organizers and collaborators for this successful event!
The venue featured numerous yatai (kiosks) offering a variety of Japanese dishes, sake, tea, seasonings, sweets, accessories, flowers, bonsai, calligraphy, pottery, clothing and kimonos, as well as stationery. The event was attended daily by numerous visitors. There was also music, dance, martial arts performances, and a Japanese dog contest (Shiba and Akita) on stage, which made the audience cheer with delight.
The Consulate General of Japan held an information booth on-site in collaboration with the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) Toronto office. Thank you to everyone who came to see us!
