The Montreal Association of Chado Urasenke Tankokai’s Hatsugama (February 4, 2024)

On February 4, the Montreal Association of Chado Urasenke Tankokai organized its Hatsugama, an annual beginning-of-the-year event in the art of the tea ceremony, which Consul General Uchikawa attended. In the Japanese Pavilion’s tearoom at the Montreal Botanical Garden took place a solemn tea ceremony to celebrate the new year. The Consulate General of Japan in Montreal acknowledges with profound respect the Association’s members’ continued efforts throughout the years in introducing the way of the tea’s many charms, and will continue to support initiatives promoting this traditional Japanese art.
