Consul General Akihiko Uchikawa begins mandate and delivers opening speech at QJBF event (September 29, 2023)

On September 27, Mr. Akihiko Uchikawa assumed the position of Consul General of Japan in Montreal, thus succeeding Consul General Saito. Soon after, on October 29, he attended a Quebec Japan Business Forum (QJBF) event where he delivered an opening speech. Delegate General of Quebec in Tokyo Chénier La Salle also addressed the participants as guest speaker, and a presentation on the appeal and challenges of the Japanese market was followed by a question period, making this event also hosting representatives of Canadian enterprises interested in Japan a particularly productive one. The Consulate General of Japan in Montreal offers its support not only to Japanese enterprises expanding their activities into Quebec but also to Quebec enterprises considering investing in Japan or collaborating with its enterprises.
