On August 19, Consul General Saito visited Natsu Fest held at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre of Montreal. Despite the rainy afternoon, a Japanese summer festival atmosphere greeted visitors with the sale of Japan-related products – including food, teas, kimonos, and calligraphy works – and the presentation of various performances such as dance by Komachi Montréal, taiko, and koto. The Consulate General of Japan booth, among others, offered promotional pamphlets, and information and advice on exchange programs, and displayed Japanese resin food samples.
