Opening ceremony of the exhibition “Contemporary Wood-Carved Netsuke” (August 10, 2023)

On August 10, Deputy Consul General Morimoto delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the exhibition “Contemporary Wood-Carved Netsuke”, presented by the Japan Foundation, Toronto and the Consulate General of Japan, in collaboration with L’Artothèque. Ministry of International Relations and La Francophonie and City of Montreal representatives, as well as the Japanese Canadian Cultural Center of Montreal (JCCCM) president attended the event, held at L'Artothèque in Montreal. Some guests even attended the event dressed in kimonos and wearing modern netsuke, conveying a cheerful and lively atmosphere to the event. The exhibition is ongoing until September 2.
