Presentation of the Consul General of Japan Award to “Festival YATAI MTL” (July 12, 2023)

On July 12, Consul General Saito bestowed the Consul General’s Commendation to “Festival YATAI MTL”. Launched in 2018 by Ms. Yasuko Tadokoro and Mr. Thien Vu Dang, this organization has tremendously contributed to the diffusion of Japanese gastronomy and culture in Montreal, notably through the organization and management of various projects such as the Japanese summer festival YATAI MTL and the Japanese culture and cuisine promotion event La semaine Japon. The Consulate General of Japan wishes to express its gratitude to the two founders and everyone involved in their activities for their accomplishments. Congratulations!
