On February 7 and 8, Consul General Saito visited Ottawa, Canada’s capital city, and met with the Canada-Japan Inter-Parliamentary Group (CAJP), whose elected members are from the five Canadian provinces under the jurisdiction of the Consulate General of Japan in Montreal (Quebec, Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick). The Consulate General of Japan aims not only to maintain good relations between Japan and Canada, but also to strengthen the bonds between Japan, and Quebec and the Atlantic provinces of Canada.
