Meeting with Mr. Higuchi, director of "Shin Ultraman", and Mr. Corbeil, President of Fantasia (July 21, 2022)
On Thursday, July 21, Consul General Jun SAITO welcomed to his official residence Mr. Shinji Higuchi, director of the Japanese film "Shin Ultraman", screened at the Fantasia International Film Festival, and Mr. Pierre Corbeil, President of Fantasia. Following the foundation of Fantasia in 1996, Mr. Corbeil actively participated in the promotion of films from Asia. Incidentally, it is through the sheer enthusiasm with which Mr. Corbeil approached Mr. Higuchi that “Shin Ultraman” was chosen among the films presented this year. “Shin Ultraman” was meant to be limited to one screening, but the speed at which tickets sold out resulted in a second show date for the popular hit. Consul General SAITO attended the first screening and could feel the frenzied atmosphere of Fantasia.
