Conferment of the Order of the Rising Sun upon Mr. Robert Keating (July 7, 2022)
On Thursday, July 7, at the official residence of Consul General SAITO, was held the conferment ceremony of the Order of the Rising Sun upon Mr. Robert Keating. As Delegate General of Québec in Tokyo from 2000 to 2005, he contributed greatly to the development of Japan-Quebec exchanges in various fields. Subsequently, a high official in Quebec, Mr. Keating also played a vital role in various missions of importance by Government of Quebec to Japan as person in charge, and contributed through his sustained efforts to the promotion of interregional exchanges and mutual understanding between Japan and Canada. For his meritorious accomplishments, he was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette. The Consulate General of Japan in Montreal wishes to express its deepest respect and offers once more its most sincere congratulations.
