YATAI MTL (June 10 to 12, 2022)

From June 10 to 12 took place, in a Montreal park, the Japanese street food festival YATAI MTL. The Consulate General and the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO) held a joint booth among the many on site. In addition to offering an origami workshop, touristic pamphlets, and cultural magazines to their visitors, they shared a wide array of information, including on the JET Programme (The Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme) and the Government of Japan MEXT Scholarship Program for university studies. A large crowd of Japanophiles gathered for the event, and Consul General Jun Saito addressed them in a speech at the June 10 opening ceremony.
