Official visit of Consul General Saito to Prince Edward Island (May 30 to June 2, 2022)
From May 30 to June 2, Consul General SAITO went on an official trip to Prince Edward Island, during which he paid a courtesy call to Lieutenant-Governor Antoinette Perry, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Colin LaVie, Deputy Premier Darlene Compton, Minister of Fisheries and Communities Jamie Fox, Minister of Economic Growth, Tourism and Culture Matthew MacKay, and Charlottetown Mayor Philip Brown, among others. In addition to lobster and mussel processing plants which export their products to Japan, and the clinical chemistry reagent developer and manufacturer Sekisui Diagnostics, he also had the opportunity to visit the Green Gables Heritage Place and the LM Montgomery Park honouring the Anne of Green Gables author, as well as many other regional touristic attractions.
