Conferment ceremony for Ms. Suzanne Ethier, Former Delegate General of Quebec in Tokyo (March 4, 2022)
On March 4, at the official residence of the Consul General, was held the conferment ceremony for the Order of the Rising Sun to Ms. Suzanne Ethier, Former Delegate General of Quebec in Tokyo. During her tenure in Japan from 2007 to 2010, Ms. Ethier received a large number of delegations from Quebec, including representatives of the Government of Quebec, economic missions, and academic and cultural organizations, thus contributing greatly to the development of Japan-Quebec exchanges and cooperation in various fields. In addition, throughout her career, Ms. Ethier held several positions, including Asia-Pacific Director for the Ministry of Economic Development, Innovation and Export Trade of Québec, her actions worthy of the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays, for her contribution to promoting interregional exchanges and mutual understanding between Japan and Canada. The Consulate General of Japan in Montreal pays hommage to Ms. Ethier and her achievements with its sincere congratulations.
