The 22nd Japanese Language Speech Contest of Atlantic Canada (March 8, 2020)

On March 8, the 22nd Japanese Language Speech Contest of Atlantic Canada was held at Saint Mary's University. This popular annual rendez-vous serves as a day-long window into participants' continuous efforts in their study of Japanese throughout the Atlantic Provinces. Contestants and audience members enjoyed kyudo (Japanese archery), taiko drum, tea ceremony and ikebana presentations during intermissions, which further increased the cultural importance of this event.
