On August 13, Deputy Consul General Kubo, who received an invitation to the International Balloon Festival of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, met with Federal Member of Parliament for Saint-Jean, Mr. Jean R. Rioux, the Mayor of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Mr. Alain Laplante, and other local representatives to discuss potential tourism collaborations, before enjoying the flight of the festival’s numerous balloons as they took to the skies.
