Conferment ceremony for Canadian Kendo Federation President Dr. Christian D’Orangeville (June 27, 2018)

On June 27, Dr. Christian D’Orangeville, President of the Canadian Kendo Federation, was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Rosette. The conferment ceremony was held at the Consulate General of Japan in Montreal and presided by Consul General Hideaki Kuramitsu.
The guests, most of whom in the field of kendo, gathered from Montreal, Quebec City, Toronto and even Vancouver to celebrate Dr. D’Orangeville, who has contributed, through kendo, to the promotion of exchanges and mutual understanding between Japan and Canada.
