Sake tasting for “Japan Day” and gala of the Festival de la Saint-Valentin at the municipality of Saint-Valentin (February 11 and 14, 2018)

On February 11, the Consulate General of Japan in Montreal participated in the “Japan Day” of the Festival de la Saint-Valentin, organized by Saint-Valentin, sister city of Mimasaka city, Okayama. The Consulate General offered the tasting of two sake; “Dewazakura Dewanosato Junmai” and “Dewazakura Oka Ginjo”. It was a good opportunity to promote sake, a Japanese drink not yet very familiar to many participants.
On February 14, the closing gala of the Festival was held and Mr. Yamada, Vice-Consul, joined the event. The celebration gathered Mr. Pierre Chamberland, mayor of Saint-Valentin, as well as many citizens under a cheerful atmosphere.
