Hiroshima city high school students visit to Quebec province organized by the Hiroshima City Board of Education (July 23 to August 11, 2017)



Organized by the Hiroshima city Board of Education, nine high school students from Hiroshima had the opportunity to visit Montreal as part of a short-term language and culture study.
Through arrangement of the Consulate General of Japan, the group visited Montreal City Hall on July 25th, where they learned about the history of Montreal and the role of the City Council. They also visited Council room and the balcony for guests. On July 31st, the students attended a meeting at the Consulate General of Japan in Montreal with Consul General Kuramitsu, who gave a presentation on the relationship between the Province of Quebec and Japan.
The Hiroshima students also attended the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Ceremony on August 5th in Montreal, where three of them took the initiative to express a message of peace to visitors.
