Local Japanese media “Montreal Bulletin”, “from-montreal.com”, as well as Ms. Yoko Seki (reporter for NHK Radio midnight show) received the Award of the Consul General, Mr. Hideaki Kuramitsu.
“Montreal Bulletin” magazine has been published since 1946 and treats of Montreal local Japanese community. The layout and printing of the 500 copies of the magazine, published 10 times a year in French-English version and Japanese version, are handled by volunteers.
“From-montreal.com” has first started in 1998, before being renewed in June 2000. The website, whose content is directed toward the Montreal Japanese community, has been adopted as a platform of information and exchanges for the Japanese living in Montreal.
As a “NHK late-night radio” overseas journalist, Ms. Seki has been broadcasting information to the Montreal Japanese audience from 1994 to this day.
