Webinar titled "Les enjeux sanitaires et économiques de la COVID-19 au Québec et au Japon" (November 5, 2020)
On November 5 was held the webinar titled "Les enjeux sanitaires et économiques de la COVID-19 au Québec et au Japon", co-organized by the Consulate General of Japan in Montreal with the UQAM's Observatoire de l’Asie de l’Est (OAE) and other partners. With Mr. Éric Boulanger—Deputy Director of the CEIM and Co-Director of the OAE—at the helm, Consul General Izawa gave a welcome address. On the Quebec side, Dr. Horacio Arruda, National Public Health Director, and Mr. Adam Touré, Macroeconomics Doctorate Student at UQAM, provided insightful talks, while on the Japan side, Mr. Toru Yoshida, a professor at Hokkaido University, and Mr. Luc Gougeon, a teacher at Himeji Dokkyo University, presented notable topics. The international webinar, held in French, was additionally viewed live by audiences in countries outside of Canada and Japan.
