"Tohoku Region - Rebuilding for a Better Tomorrow"
A photograph exhibition on reconstruction in the Tohoku region will be organized by the Consulate General of Japan at Montreal to commemorate the first anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake, which struck on March 11, 2011.

More than 150 remarkable pieces from the Ann and Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Collection, including the superb armor of Japanese warriors and their horses, as well as helmets and weapons from the Edo Period, are presented for the first time in Canada.

Samurai – The Prestigious Collection of Richard Béliveau
Well-known in Quebec for his work in the prevention and treatment of cancer, Dr. Richard Béliveau is also a devotee of Japanese culture and a great collector of Japanese objects and artwork. His private collection of some 275 pieces, such as full armors including helmets, masks, and clothing, as well as spears and swords, will be showcased to the public for the first time.
